hi, finally the time has come to get my seat on the road, charged the battery up and turned the key, brrrummm then nothing, so straight away i assume immobiliser, connected vag-com, checked codes and it says "engine start stopped by immo" or something along them lines, so just to be sure i went and bought brand new plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm from tps as the leads were cracked to bits.... tried again, fired then died.
so definately immo problem according to vag-com. take the ecu to a guy that unlocks them, get it back and now nothing, get 1 spark out of the coil and then nothing, noticed the fuel pump relay was going mad, rev counter is flickering up and down with just the ignition on and the throttle flap is flapping about lol im not to good with vagcom but clicked measuring blocks and its reading that its over 8k rpm
checked engine faults and it came up with something along the lines of "ingntion control module internal memory error"
so, does anyone know if i get another ecu, is it just a case of plugging it in and adapting it with vagcom? or is it a nightmare.
it did run spot on about a month ago when it was parked up and its a 2l 8v. AGG Vreg
