Go on the mikey, whats this turbo set up about? Ive tried a quick google search on it with little luck, I only know of it due to a 2002 Seat Ibiza Sport PD130 running that set up and doing 14 second 1.4 time with a terminal speed over 3mph quicker than mine, most be running closer to 260bhp, anyone know?

GT2256V is quite a common upgrade for 250-260 bhp. The turbo can be had manly from Jeep and BMW cars.
This link HERE is good for finding what turbos are fitted to stock cars like say a GT2256V.

This link HERE has a lot more technical information with wheel sizes, C.H.R.A numbers etc if you want to make you own turbo.

So the VT5 from Allards is basically a VT5 Allards set up, whats the 2052 then?

Seems a 'quick' turbo if that makes sense..

Jason think he has the 2256, and I think he has a VT5? So a VT5 is basically a 2256? No?

The turbo I have it rated to 260hp, so going to need to upgrade in the future again and just wondering which way to turn

I've been told that despite what our turbos say externally, the internals could well be uprated. My car is going on a ramp on saturday morning so I can inspect the turbo, and do a couple of other bits. I know my turbo is strong so I doubt I need to worry about being conned with something less than what Allard offered/fitted (a possible worry given Allard have gone into obscuriority now)

So assuming the GT1749VB is the same external size as the 2256 there's no reason why the internals from that couldn't be 'swapped' over? Is that the essence of this?

Does anyone know what the relationship between external turbo size and internal wheel / compressor size is?
