GT28RS, Stock Bottom End & 1.3bar Boost.

What's the general thoughts on running 1.3bar peak with a GT28RS and a stock bottom end??

It will hit 1.3bar at about 3500rpm and hold it to the rev limiter.

Is this a safe level or a little too high?

seems about normal for the gt28rs turbos on stock internals.

You dont really want to be going over 350bhp. SO just trim the boost back to take some of the torque off the engine or something.

1.3 bar sounds about right, i know of a few IHI's running 1.5bar

It more how much flow there is i guess rather than the amount of boost. Don't want to go much higher tbh.

Got an AGU big port that i'm going to have built, with the scat rods and JE pistons i've got sitting in the garage at some point, so just want this current engine to last until the new ones built! lol

AUM is 19mm pins...

MrsB Lupo has AUM and I wont consider BT on it without first doing rods/pistons.

Surely AYP Ibizas use 19mm rods aswell Bill? Quite a few Ibizas on BT with stock rods and pistons, your original engine for one.

Just assumed Bill, that's all....like i said....i stand corrected.

Anyhow, car made 310hp at 17psi yesterday.

Track n Road in Thurrock. Steve Grenall and his partner Steve map alot of LMP1, LMP2, Touring cars etc etc.

Power run was done at the end of the mapping session, so out on the road and colder air i guess that she'd give a bit more.

Happy with that though.
