Hi peeps,

Having a few problems with some GTI clocks.
Has anybody found a fix?

I will explain what the problem is:

I have a 1.4CLX '93 MKII Ibiza and bought some '97 GTI clocks off of ebay.
The problem is when they get plugged in and the ignition on, something behind my dash makes a buzzing noise and the right hand indicator light lights dim green.
The fog light indicator light is the left hand indicator light.
The buzzing stops when you indicate to go right, then the inidcator lights and goes our as normal.

Any ideas?

So far I have tried transplanting the new clocks into the old unit but everything is soldered onboard in the new GTI ones apart from the temperature and fuel level guages.

lol Heeeeeeeeeellllppppp!!

Thanks,
Ant

true, but for the other 300 odd days of the year, it stops it being bloody annoying.

:p

And if you cover the light area with black tape .. the eximiner cant touch it ;)

rofl.

Yeah but he can still fail you for not having anything indicating you that your indicators are on. And also if you do it properly the first time you don't have to play with it again.

OK, I will get back to you tonight bud, finish @8pm tonight and will have a tinker, thanks for the help...

Oh and nice car by the way.

I just got hold of a '93 White MKII for £100 lol... It's been done up really nice, but been dinged and needs a lot doing to it.

Basically a project car I want to do right up (hence the questioning lol).
It's looking good already though =)

@Brummy

So do you take 'nice car' as banter or the truth? lol

Because it is a nice car... did you do it up yourself?
