Your confident in those tracking machines in garages that all have laser systems that are probably calibrated once a year?

With fishing line and a ruler I can probably do tracking on all four corners to about 0.5mm.

ermmm....get facts right, some places maybe, this place is done every month, with a certificate to prove :p

It's the way your wheels sit in relation to each other as axle pairs, like if your tracking is towing out you'll wear the inside edge of you tyres and vice versa.

Just diy it with some fishing line, axle stands, two pieces of rod and a ruler.

bit too tecnical for me mike :lol:


I just park up against a kerb and use it as a guide lol:D

now there something i could doo :D

:p I'm just cheap and don't wanna pay for something I can do myself. Done properly this is just as good as any laser equipment. Simple geometry.

Very good post here on the string alignment method. With a nice accurate ruler you could probably get yourself down to about 0.25mm accuracy.
