Whats the story with these kits, does anyone know if they have the same flange as the std manifold?

Would I be right in saying if I went with the 350bhp kit I wouldnt need to do internals... if it was mapped conservativly to approx 330bhp?

What is included in the kit? just the turbo and oil/coolant lines? What about downpipe/intake pipe etc, how does it work with these?

I drive an Audi S3

The ATP turbine housing is 'designed' to fit between the standard exhaust manifold and the standard downpipe. There's a full spec of what's included on ATP's site and fitting instructions, Marc. :)

I did do a search, came across Morks thread, seemed to be the best, however its not complete, and wanting to know if its a better fit on the 4wd gearbox, the fwd cars seem to have a problem with the intake being too close to the gearbox and gear linkages in the way etc.

Vortex is my next point of call :)

just looked at guide one, and to fit the bolts onto the manifold, they have grinded down the manifold.......would that not weaken it considerably? cracks etc?

When using these sized nuts, you will not be able to wrench them on as they will hit the manifold tubes:

To ease installation of the manifold, we ground and smoothed the manifold near the bolts:

I decided against doing that. The walls are thick, but there's a risk of hitting a flaw in the casting. Cupra_Matt's solution is better, replace all the studs with allen head screws.

I have to say, doing that conversion is far from easy, seeing alone the amount of issues they have had with trying to fit it

not for the faint hearted thats for sure

I looked at the Eliminator kits. At a glance they sound great, but what with all the little niggles that need to be sorted and the fact that they spool up slow (factor of the turbine housing not really ideal for the compressor side) I really don't think they are worth it just to retain the original downpipe.

I decided to save a little more and go custom (fitting myself).
