Skirt removal query

Hi there.

Is it possible to remove just the rear black plastic skirt piece on it's own and without removing the rear light lenses? I ask this because I want to fit an electromagnetic parking strip on the inside of this black plastic skirt piece.

Thanks in advance for your help.

In theory yes, in practice no. The skirt is held on with some seriously stiff clippage. You really need the bumper off to get at the clips.

It'd be much, much easier to remove the bumper and fit the strip without detaching the skirt from the bumper.

I needed to swap my bumper for another one after a dozy bint reversed into my original one.

Does this give you access to the rear washer that isn't working but is leaking out of the rear end when switched on ?

Cheers for the guide going to attempt to apply the same principle to my ST tomorrow to fit some reversing sensors!

Great guide!

Thinking of installing a electromagnetic parking strip myself, this made the whole process a lot easier.

Question to people who have installed parking sensors before... which wires are the reversing lights? my multimeter has died and any help would be great :(

Awesome guide.

Finally got around to installing some parking sensor. The guide worked a treat!

Thanks again.
