Hi guys, has anyone had their gfp gutted/removed? SA Tuning offer the service with a remap but I'm dubious about doing this to a 2 month old car.

Why do it? Leave as is and save Polar Bears and future headaches of trying to pass MOT’s. Also most likely you will invalidate your insurance as your car is illegal / not road legal.

oh and if you want a remap go to revo they have developed one especially to work alongside the original GPF and they are getting very good figures.

Have seen sa tuning do it , gpf is like a sock stuffed up your exhaust , sa gut it , reprogramme ecu etc and results are good.

If you have a GPF removed/gutted/disabled be sure to tell your insurer.

(And be aware it's illegal to do such a mod of course.)

There’s some info here on RS3 OPF/GPF removal - probably the best option of going to do this, so if there are any future issues in the future you can revert the car back to stock.
