Hello all,

I was blindly trying to replace the H7 o/s bulb today on my 2014 1.2 TSI and the wire clip that holds the bulb in place sprung free into the engine bay innards never to be seen again.

My question is has this happened to anyone else on here and if so how did you go about replacing the clip? I see generic sets being sold online but nothing looks like it.

The picture attached is the wire clip holding the opposite h7 bulb in place and looking at this against the clips on sale on Ebay, amazon halfords euro car parts etc look nothing close enough.

But maybe they're similar enough to do the job 🤷‍♂️ that's why I'm asking how anyone else fared with the same issue.

Hello d33k0,
Halfords - £2.19 for a two pack,

Just simply bend them in to fit, start at the bottom and hook the two legs into the fixture by squeezing them both together initially, you may notice the top is the retainer so use a hook type of method once your doing them up, additionally needle nose pliers would be beneficial as it can be quite tricky to bend at times and once your happy with how it fits, its probably a good idea to use the needle nose pliers to bend the legs where they protrude outwards, to ensure they dont "spring out of situ" again :)

Thanks Jay,

I had noticed those were closer in shape than the generic multipacks I'd seen.

I will give them a go.
