Some guy in a white van didnt see there was a cueing traffic ahead, which I happened to be at the back of, he must have been doing atleast 70!

Luckily I walked away with only aches and pains in my neck and chest, im glad it wasnt this time last year when I was driving a G reg golf!!!!

(its not a cupra btw, just a 1600)

Bloody heck! Hope you're ok bud? That looks pretty serious!

Has the white van driver admitted liability? I hope insurance and everything get's sorted out quickly for you.

Thanks, im alright, just stiff as f**k and no strength in my neck....

The van hit me, i hit the car in front and the car infront hit the car infront of it....

My insurance company are looking at it as a stone wall claim against the van driver....still a bit of a pain though, could do with out the hassle

They stand up pretty well in an accident in my experience but it's good to hear you are OK.......nasty smash

erm.... ;)

not sure he was doing 70 on impact, but a fairly good speed anyhows.
must say i try to leave a gap when stopping at traffic on motorways for this reason and to brake earlier rather than later so the stop isnt as aggressive.
Its amazing how many people dont see the road ahead is not clear!
reminded me of that van driver who was using the phone, thought afterwards he had hit an audi, not realising there was actually a little citroen squished under hit van before the audi...

nasty, lucky escape, hope you have a fast recovery.

Yeah, defo not 70 on impact but he see me late and didnt get much braking in, his brakes locked up too....

I was a good car length from the car infront, sitting with my hazzards and brake lights on....

I seen him coming and just had to sit there and wait for him to hit me....weird feeling really!!

That should t-cut out :D

What you need is the back end from the car behind your and just cut and shut.

Hope you feel better soon and the compensation claim goes well.

Duck tape, a hammer and some t-cut and itll be back on the road in no time!

Just seen this, glad you're ok! Car looks a bit of a mess though - wish people would pay more attention on the roads :( Have had to do a last minute lane change more than once to avoid people driving into my back end but if you're stuck in traffic all you can do is sit there and wait for it whilst you watch it coming.

Hope the police & cps prosecute him for driving without due car and attention!

if you haven't already done so, get yourself checked out by a doctor especially seeing you've chest and neck pain.

Hope the insurance sorts everything out quickly for you and that everything turns out OK.

Of course it also means loss of revenue for you too, since you can't get to work, have injuries, etc etc. Make sure your insurance company claims for all your costs too. Bloomin white van man.......all vans should have electrodes by the drivers nuts and a random shock time to keep them awake !! :D

ROFLMAO, Duck tape? Is that what they tape ducks with? You sure you don't mean duct tape?

Haha, must be that brain damage I picked up!!!!

Ive got a sick line for 2 weeks which covers me for 4 cause im off for 2 at xmas, im on anti-inflammtry/pain killers, ive got a referal for pyhsio and im driving an 1.8 cdti astra as a courtsey car (a bit nippier than the Leon) !

It was a works van so I dont feel bad about claiming! Especially as ill be paying for a car I no longer own...

Still...id rather it never happened!
