Halfords Car Cleaning

A lot of the products on these threads I have never heard about or have seen in any shops.
The only shop anywhere near me to get products from is Halfords and I have a few Autoglym polishes etc.

Can anyone give me help on detailing my car with stuff I can buy in Halfords?

I do wash it every week and then only use a polish every few weeks, but it never looks as good as I would like.

My car is Metallic Black if this helps.

Hhhhmmm id say get some off the net mate, either Sparkel or Motorgeek.co.uk (have used them before and hes great) failing that id use some more elbow grease!

IIRC they sell megs stuff in halfords now - doubt they will have a good selection though

You can get Meguiars in most Halfrauds now.

Car is one year-old. Im just not sure what to use and in what order.
Does it need polish, then wax afterwards as well?
There are a few light scratches and stone chips and they show up so easily on Black!
