it seems that both of my handbrake cables have gone (collapsed in the middle) and need replacing. I have bought two new cables which apparently have been modified by seat and all the necessary clips from my local seat dealership.
has anyone replaced these before if so what are they like to do and are they a pain?
also have a o/s lower arm ball joint to replace aswell, which I'm hoping shouldn't be too bad to replace

any help would be great! thanks :D

im replacing my cables today, had a look already... the part by the discs are fine, just wondering how to remove the old cable where it goes up into the metal tube into the car... it seems to have some sort of clamp or nut. don't wanna just cut it incase i mess it up

cheers

if you remove the heat shield from above the exhaust its easier to see, the metal tubing will come off with the cable still inside, i take its just there to protect the cable from the heat of the exhaust. undo the nut on the handbrake inside the car and then you can take the end of the cable off there first. i thought the same about the clip but you can just leave that. once the cable is off the car the metal tube should just pull of the cable, its quite stiff but it will come off. the just push it back onto the new cable.

hope this helps
