Handbrake part advice

Hey all, I was having 4 new tyres put on Saturday and noticed an issue with the handbrake on the driver's side, it didn't seem to be biting yet the handbrake was on. I traced the cabling and the outer car seems fine but that's when I noticed inside I have probably done two things haha

First is that I have bent a part that both handbrake cables attach too and I have absolutely no idea what it's called, what part number, etc. Ideally I need to get a new one or source it from somewhere but the question is where?

Secondly, I may have snapped the cable so will have to replace it which ain't an issue really compared to the first one

So if anyone knows where to point me in the right direction I'd seriously appreciate it, will attach a picture to show you what I mean concerning it and out of curiosity has anyone else ever bent this part? I'm guessing I'm pulling up with too much force

Parts catalog shows a part similar to that as "Compensating Arm", with part number 1J0711399A.
A search on Google can confirm whether it is the correct part or not.
