Handbrake Sieze in the Cold

Hi All,

Has anyone else had problems with their handbrakes sticking in the cold weather? Mine have been not been releasing properly in the mornings??

The pads and discs are in good condition and have done less than 10,000 miles and the car has just been serviced.

Is this a normal thing with cupra brakes?

Its really annoying [:@]

Never had that problem on any other cars, seems strange that it only affects this one?

On the other hand, it only happens when its cold so it makes sense

My LCR does this alot, even more so if left for two or more nights.think its more the pads sticking to the discs rather than the cable freezing.

more recent lower extreme temps, most more modern cars being discs rear, brake pad materials nowadays have all been changed asbestos free etc

could all contribute and whos says it's getting better - lol
