hardwiring a camera detector

right i got a micro road pilot for xmas and want to hard wire it in.

am i right in thinking the cigarette light has constant power to it?

i'm thinking of splicing into the sub remote wire for the live and grounding somewhere in the bulkhead then fitting an extra fag lighter from maplins. would this work on the ignition? if so seems simple enough

yes that would work fine, either that or you could cut the cigarette lighter attachment off the road pilot wire (I'd buy a spare in case you want to use it in another car) and just connect wires with bullet connectors, blocks or whatever you want

good good. gonna try and have it around the cubby hole and hopefully get a signal down there
