I’ve not used it, but from the description of how it works (spray it on, leave to dwell, changes colour from clear to purple, rinse off) on some of the car cleaning / car detailing supplies websites it sounds like many of the decontamination / fallout removal products on the market that are designed primarily to remove iron deposits and baked on brake dust.
Assuming this is what it is, I’ve used Car Pro Iron-X which is good, but like many of this type of product Iron-X stinks to high heaven! Iron-X can also be safely used on car paintwork and is the decontamination product of choice of Clean Your Car on their website - link to website; https://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/exterior/wheels-tyres/wheel-cleaners
I do find if you keep on top of cleaning your car (I usually clean my car every 10-14 days or so), it’s not really necessary to use dedicated wheel cleaning products and a good quality ph neutral shampoo at the manufacturer’s recommended dilution rate for normal car washing will do a perfectly good job of keeping your car’s wheels clean.
I use this all the time.
I try to keep on top of keeping my cars clean so to be honest they’re never that bad to start with.
However I just happen to have a couple of photos of this product at work on my wife’s Vauxhall Zafira which gets cleaned about twice a year.
I’ll post them below.
It turns purple when it’s reacting with brake dust so as you will see on the photo they were in a pretty bad state. Especially one of them as the calliper had seized a while ago so thick rusty colour dust was all over the wheel and well and truly stuck on.
I washed it the other day and it came off straight away. I did manipulate it with a soft brush on that particular wheel but I can highly recommend it.
None of my cars have diamond cut alloys so just check it’s suitable if your car has.
Unfortunately it doesn’t get rid of kerb rash and my wife seems to find every kerb going.
