Has anyone fitted a bonnet strut?

Just putting it out there, has anyone fitted a bonnet strut like the a3 on the same platform? Does anyone know if the design is transferable or if there's a better way of doing it?

There is a thread already on this but for some reason they never did it or were unsuccessful. If you are gonna do it and need detail photos just let me know cos it should be possible.

I'd defiantly be up for giving it a go if it's possible. I have no idea why they fitted one on the a3 and not the Leon

It's all down to costs. That's one reason why the A3 is more expensive.

Surly retrofitting one wouldn't cost the world? Do you have the thread at all? I can't seem to find anything on it
