theyre pretty sweet and the faces of confused passers by as you leave your car running in a car park is a laugh

Ive known a few ppl who have used them .. they're good and worth the £30

i personally have heard only a few troubles with immobilizer s

i think it depends on how your wire em up
ill try and find out more about them

It's actually illegal to have your engine running and not be behind the wheel.

You're better off just taking it steady for the last few minutes of your drive.

As Si & BCM it's illegal to leave your car running unattended.

Plus the fact that if you have to wire it into the alarm to get round the Immoboliser the it will invalidate you CAT 1 alarm then TBH they're just not worth the hassle.

As has been said, just take the last bit of you journey nice an easy, and then let your car sit for a minute or 2 on the drive before you switch off.

I've gotten into the habbit of listening to the next song on the radio once I've parked up before I switch off, which should be enough time (as long as you haven't ragged the hell out of it up to that point).

IIRC the whirring you hear when you've turn the engine off after a reasonable drive is a pump that is cooling the turbo. So unless I have been driving like a loon I don't worry about cooling down too much.
Also there are very few times when you go from working the car hard to stopping in a few seconds. The last 3 - 5 minutes of my drive to work and home mean that the car gets chance to cool down before stopping anyway.

well yeah i agree with all these points as i just take it easy and let it cool its self down for last couple of miles then leave engine running for a while before getting out. I was just wondering if these actually worked and were of any benifit as never personally come across one/ seen one in action

If you do fit one you won't be able to leave your car anyway because as soon as the turbo timer turns the engine off it will unlock all your doors as it will work the same as taking your key out the ignition. As far as i know the only one that work with keeping the doors locked is the Clifford ones but they are set to a specified time unlike alot of turbo timers which work out how hard you've been driving and adjust the time to that.
