head unit screen

Hi guys and gals, behind my standard head unit screen is a strange shape like an S that lights up brighter than the rest of the screen, i think it must be water or something trapped behind the screen. I took my head unit plate off and the part that covers the screen, but still couldnt actually get to the screen to wipe it away. Has anyone else had this problem? cheers, mike

Could it be a damaged screen where someone has pressed it hard to "see if its soft" ??

good point mate.... but it wasnt me if thats what you are trying to imply, lol jokin.... you reckon i could maybe pick a new one up off ebay for quite cheap?

ther was a one on the other week with the metal deeley behind it but i dont remember what it went for.... ive only ever seen two for sale on ebay and one was broken...
