hi every1, i am new to this online forum and so its my 1st time...
basically i had recently bought my Leon TDI 110, and had got the Head gasket changed as it constantly used to overheat on motorway journeys..

i spoke with the specialists who put the gasket in, however, they said that wen they took it for a test drive, the power cut off, and a huge cloud of black smoke was coming out.
the guy referred to something called the DIESEL INJECTORS or sumfing, and apparently it costs £900 new or £500 used..

i need some views or information regarding that situation please thanks

LOL £900, not common for a diesel headgasket to go, but they can do, sounds like an intercooler pipe has come off or is split, injectors dont just fail, could be the pump timing aswell as diesels are delicate with their pump timing.

i really dont know to be honest, because when i gave the car in to the garage, the car was driving fine, except the fact that it over haeted after a certain amount of miles got covered or it went up to a certain temperature...

i am guessing after putting in the new gasket and what not, the mechanic has fiddled around or bodged up something which has led to this scenario... Diesel Injector or something he reffered as...

He cant of broke an injector or i dbout it would run, be carefull, he might be jsut trying to have you on becuase you might not know much, if he broke it, he replaces it simple, if it was allready broke, he should have phoned you and told you before carying on.

The likelyhood is that the waterpump had gone, not the head gasket.
