1000k yellowish
3000k white tint of yellow like stnaderd bulbs
5000k white hint of blueish
6000k white slightly bluer
9000k white high blueish color

Sorry think you misread what I said.

I have the HID kit and the temperature that I want. I need to plug it in to the 2 existing wires that went to my original bulb, need to know what colour is the positive wire so I dnt short my HID kit out.

Cheers

Red and brown I mean.. I gather red is positive but just want to confirm as fried a hid kit before :(

Is he fitting HIDs in his living room then?

I've seen domestic electricians confuse 240v and 12v systems a fair few times, the results are smoke and dead components. The most common is a blown main fuse when they put a battery on wrong as some people think cars have a positive earth, which they did - in cars built before the 80s.

That set aside I wouldn't wanna stick my nob in a light bulb socket anymore than in a HID ballast plug!
