Guys,

Had my Leon CR FR since MAY 11 and finally decided to buy some HIDS, sidelights and number plate lights for it................all of course CANBUS and Error Free!!

Upon fitting the number plate bulbs.......the bulb light on the dash board lit up!! Surprise surprise. I decided I could live with it, and decided to fit the sidelights and HIDS......all successfully installed and working fine.....apart from the light on the Dash!

This evening I have gone and out the passenger side HID bulb wont turn on, I swapped the ballasts over, still no light! So I fitted the standard headlight bulb back in.......and still nothing?!?!?! Any of u experienced this before, or have any ideas whats caused this?

Fortunately the cars under warranty, but I dont want this to occur everytime I try to fit HIDs!!

Any help would be much appreciated.......

And if anyone near the Worcester area wants to hook me up with VAG COM......I'll buy u a beer or 2!!!

Thanks for any response.....

Luke

Do your HIDs have a can bus system built in? If not that could be your problem and you'd need to buy some pre wired load resistors (eBay). Same goes for LEDs. Some modern cars can bus system cause even can bus ready LEDs to flicker and produce errors.

Not entirely sure mate, you'd have to check the manual... Bit of a weird one there... Is there any way you can check the current of the wires?

It's shouldn't have happened really... They plug and play HIDs? Maybe double check the connectors etc
