Hi

Im wondering if

A. The healight bulbs on my Altea can be changed to brighter led type ones. Or are they called xenon?
B. If changed will the make the dash watning lights be constantly buzzer a fault as non standard?
C. Will they need to be changed pre MOT as advised they fail as illegal?!?

Reason i ask is my vehicle is a motability car and i live in rural countryside so driving in poor lit lanes is regular occurence and my current lights arent that bright even on full beam.
I want ones that are like led daytime lights ie those on BMW ir AUDIs as bright crisp clear white light not creamy yellow tinged lighting.

Sorry to be vague.

Can these lights be bought easily as just stright swap bulbs not complete headlight unit?

Are they easy to fit as being disabled i will need to get a garage to do it?

Thanks in advance. ;)

you can use something like osram nightbreaker unlimiteds or philips extreme vision, they're halogens bulbs with xenon gas to make the appear white, they shouldn't throw up any errors, you can use osram cool blue or philips blue vision for your 5w5 bulbs, they're all road legal and many people here use them and have no trouble with the cops or testers

I'd second this. I changed mine and they are substantially better.
