One way is to drill some holes / vents in the wheel arch liner to allow better air flow over the std IC.

i would have thought in this weather it wouldnt be a problem, my intake temps have been low,

ive done this but dont think it will help that much,

might be something else??

im always gettin an engine light every 2weeks. saying turbo pressure drop between d.v on vag com. my m8t sayas that every time it dumps thats the fault!!!!

you have a leak somewhere then mate, not heat soak. code 17705, know it well,

change the dv an search for a split pipe somewhere.

nope, if you have got a better dv dont bother, it will be a split hose, had this on my missus golf for 9 months, found 2 plit pipes, both oil breather pipes and a split TIP, all sorted now though.

not a lot of knowledge on what im doing so what pipes am i checking the to the d.v is connected to and also the little breather that goes into the top of the d.v to yea

all pipes mate, its no not the maf,

check the pipe that goes from your turbo to the filter, any oil breather pipes as they slit. just any vacum pipes, spend a day having a good look around.

you can check the dv pipes but i dont think it will be them.

right i checked the d.v first took it off pushed the piston up and down played around with the setting and put it back on but done the pipes up tight and really pushed the vacum pipe on(whilst slicing a hole in my hand with the screwdriver).... just drove to work and it was boosting all the way and i was hammering it ;)(70) and also after all of that the mpg was about 27. when it would normally be about 24 about a week ago if i drove like that!!!!

1... hoses not on corectly
2... d.v sticking

cheers mate. just wondering have you or no of any one who has upgraded ther n75 to the n75j?? there only bout fiffty quid and its meant to be the best mod for money.... i have searched but nuthing really explains were it is situated on the car....

supposidly its all about the boost request.. sum people say that it can increase you buy 1-3psi but sum are saying thats rubbish, and it can also throw you into limp mode... when i go home ill have a look were its situated and maybe pick one up of awsome and give it a go... let you no m8t
