can anyone out there tell if I have heated seats this is a picture from underneath

Photo172.jpg

I cant try them as the switches have been replaced with blanks

the seats are also electric but these wires don't go anywhere near the motors

and also does anyone know the part number for the heated seat switched :)

thanks

From the pictures in Elsa, the heated mats sit directly under the seat cloth. So if you want to be absolutely sure, just lift the cloth and see if you can see a wire sheet. Or if you press the seat with your hand, you might be able to feel zig zag ridges of the wires.

I'm afraid I can't really help you with the plugs, apart from the one thing I remember is that the passenger side has one connection for the seat and one for the airbag. If you have three connectors on the passenger side then there is a good chance they are heated. I'm fairly sure the drivers side has three or four plugs as standard for all the memory and control units. So if that picture is the drivers side I think that's about normal.

Ah, you didn't mention they were leather. In that case, they're more than likely not heated. Elsa mentions that the heating elements can't be fitted to the leather seats as there is a risk of burning.

Of course, I've yet to confirm that so I don't know for sure whether leather seats never had the mats fitted.

I had heated electric leather seats in my Audi A6 2001 and Bmw 330ci 2001.

Oh, I know other cars have heated leather (my mates Peugeot had them), but for some reason the manual says there is a risk of burning. I don't know whether it's because the leather is too thin or the heating elements are too strong?

If someone has heated leather from SEAT seats then that would be good to know?

does anyone on here have heated leathers? if so what does the wiring loom look like under the seat? only reason i ask is because there seems to be 2 or 3 plugs behind the centre console that dont plug into anything

Mine has heated powered leathers.... I'll have a peer under the seat later.

Mine was originally an EU import (from new) with the winter pack, which was not available in UK markets
