Heated wing mirror issue

To confuse the matter further on mkvi forum some say its just the switch on the mirror control and that on their mkv it need the rears on too...
ok well tried this today and i can confirm the wing mirrors do heat with just the switch being in the middle.
Tried it first with backs on, worked fine, let it go cold, tried it again without backs on, and again worked fine.
Still curious about washer jets tho?

Stupid question... but does the glass actually heat up so would feel warm to the touch? Obviously not like boiling hot more like warm?
Or you may have had mist on there first thing? But as I said stupid question, as ive never noticed them getting warm that is all.
They should get warm mate, i physically felt it sticking my hand on the glass as I drove down the road so you can defo feel it. Like I said, I had them fixed twice on my PD so common issue maybe?

Ok well I retract any thing I said I have a FL 60 plate and my mirrors do heat up even if the heated rear window is off so I do have to have the mirror switch in either the left or right position to switch the heated mirrors off !!
Yeah my drivers side does not work, the passengers side gets nice a warm the drivers stays stone cold.
I only tried it with the rear heater on, will try again later with out the heater on.

nah, car is 08 and im the second owner. Didnt take warranty out as I was going to wait till my dad spoke with his friend who owns a Volvo Dealership So he would have sold me one which is worth the paper it is written on.
My mirrors don't appear to be heating but there is no indication in the handbook about which fuse it is, anyone? also my handbook says the fuse box is behind the flap below the light switch, no wonder I couldn't see any fuses when I read it's behind a cover on the side of the dash, handbook is very poor to say the least.
guys in my old golf, its used to be outside temp dependent for how hot the heated wing mirrors got, ive got supercopa and they work regardless of what setting i have wing mirror button at, so hence maybe outside temp dependent????????????????????????
this is SEAT remember, its unlike them to add a button that has no function,and because its SEAT its most likely yours is fooked and is stuck on lol
