Hello. I own a seat leon 2001 1.6 16v. It has 185000 km on the clock.
The car leaks a lot on acceleration. The engine works very good but sometimes starts to move rev from 500 to 800 rpm and after a few stops doing this. When im driving it comes a time when the car turns on the TCS and EPC lights at the same time, and if i keep driving whith the lights on after a few turns on the check engine light. If i turn off the car and then on the TCS and EPC do not turn on.
I repeat that the sound of the engine is perfect but it does not accelerate as it should. Im in full throttle and can hear engine screaming but i see no acceleration.
The throttle pedal seems not to react in time. When im starting on a hill, the first moment i let go clutch and push throttle the car remains at 1100 rpm while the throttle pedal is full open..after 10 seconds starts to accelerate. Please help. Nobody is finding the problem.
Any suggestions can really help.
Thank you again

Im not considering a new car..im considering a new engine but before have to be sure that there is nothing that can be done

theres a couple of faults known one is where you hold your foot on the pedal the revs go up then drop the the same fault is where you hit the pedal really quick and the car just keeps going up and up its a throttle it is the ecu fault. the main things that do engine speed are ecu throttle body and airmass meter and pedal. the fault i had was on a 1.8 20v seat toledo mk2 .i had to get a new ecu as a throttle body would not fix the problem. after i got the car to a seat dealership i put the new ecu in the car and let them sync the alarm ecu throttle body to the car. car was like new . there other fault is car completely dies nothing at 2000rmp or above that is air mass meter.
