Hi all,

I am a new SEAT owner looking to create a group case against SEAT PHEVS from 2020 onwards for what I see are reported and recurring issues with batteries and gear/parking brake. Many users are paying for work that is covered under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and I am taking this to SEAT UK. At present I am using links to threads to support my case, but if anyone wants to respond here I would welcome your input. My car (70 plate) has suffered no end of issues and I've had it with SEAT.

Have a good Christmas all.

Welcome to SCN, and sorry to hear of your problems and you are right many PHEV owners also have them. That is why in 2022 I bought the full petrol Leon 300 and have had 3 years of trouble free motoring, hope your support case gains a lot of responses, good luck.

Sorry to hear of your troubles.

One reason I won't purchase an electric or hybrid vehicle as a personal car. Too many car forums with people posting about issues..

I'd have one as a company car, as it's not my problem then but no chance I'm buying one personally.

I'll stick to my daft MPG and high road tax for as long as possible lol

Hi Adam. Welcome to the community. You’re welcome to share your personal experience and discuss issues you’ve had with your vehicle, provided the discussion remains factual, balanced and respectful.

Please keep the following in mind when posting or replying:
  • Stick to first-hand experiences and verifiable facts (e.g. dates, symptoms, dealer visits and outcomes).
  • Avoid making defamatory statements or presenting allegations as established fact unless you can support them.
  • Do not name individual members of staff, or share personal or sensitive information (job numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, VINs, registration numbers etc.).
  • Please do not use the forum to organise legal action, recruit claimants, or solicit private details. General discussion is fine, but SEATCUPRA.NET is not a legal advice service.
  • Keep the discussion constructive. Rants, accusations or pile-ons may be edited or removed.
If you’re pursuing a formal complaint, you may wish to seek independent legal advice or contact a recognised consumer organisation.

Thanks

Scott
