Hello everyone :) just joined.

Last year I became the proud owner of Suki, my 2005 Seat Leon SX. Prior to me owning her she belonged to my grandma who decided to stop driving. On handover in May 2021 the car had done.... 11 thousand miles  as my gran only really took it to waitrose and back lol. Garage put in a new timing belt and battery and said she was just like a brand new car. I was instructed to get some miles in, so I've done my best so far - she's been on a trip around scotland, around cornwall, the lakes, and on several ferries, so she's now at just over 20k (march 2022).

Yorkshire (home turf). Attached pics are on Mull (Calgary and Tobermory) and up the Quirang on Syke.
Feel blessed to have it as a first car, and love seeing other early 2000s Seats on the roads.

Hi and welcome to the forum. That's pretty mad to have a car of that age on such low milage. I assume it still drives like a new car!
It does! And it hasn’t protested once during such a steep increase in usage. First of many Seats 🤞

Wow! That's impressive!

Does it get to a certain RPM and then not really want to go any faster? Just curious if it's like older cars I've had owned by older people, that need a bit of a thrashing (the car, not the older people) to get them to loosen up

It sometimes is a bit flat and then loses power if you don’t really really go for it / drop a gear or 2 up big hills, but on flat there’s never any issues and it feels like it could go a lot faster than top speed up M6…so a little bit of a thrashing
