HELP driver side doesn't close

Randomly this evening, I noticed my driver window wouldn't close. After multiple tries it eventually went up.

It opens with no problem, but then doesn't close on demand? I have to leave it for a while and try again and it works.

Any idea??

Sounds like it'll need a new switch. I had something similar to this on my old leon. Water egress caused by the dodgy roof design :/

It has now decided to work again... But I will monitor it

The car struggled to start... Almost as if the battery was drained. Maybe it's way of conserving power was to limit the window function? However all other windows worked fine

I had a similar window problem, try doing a window reset before you start thinking about changing switches/motors.
Think you hold the window switch up for 10 seconds then press it down for 10 secs and it resets it.

Have a search on here as someone posted the technique recently

This has happened to me recently too, fails to go up sometimes for no particular reason
