Hello,

Looking if anyone either has any advice or has had the same issue and got it fixed.

When it's cold (sub 5degC) the drivers door on my 2013 3dr Leon doesn't open - via central locking or by manually opening with the key (i got desperate)

You can audibly hear that the door is "opening".

The passenger door opens as does the boot - I've tried opening the door with the interior handle with no joy.

The work around i've found is just driving a little while and periodically pressing the interior lock/unlock buttons and the door unlocks after about 20mins or so.

It leads me to believe that the actuator is on the blink, would I be correct?

All advise is much appreaciated and if it can be repaired at home I'm up for trying to fix myself.

Hi, did you have any luck with this ?

I've been looking around for a solution to open my driver door to remove the door card for further investigation. My assumption from what I have read is that my door lock actuator is locked in the closed position. There is a mechanical clicking sound I can hear from the inside when I operate the handle which sounds like something may have detached but this is unlikely as it was working perfectly fine before I left the car for a month. Could a low battery be a cause to the system as when I returned this was the case.

I can access the vehicle from the passenger side using key fob or emergancy key entry via the driver door. All windows operate correctly and central locking/driver door fuses have been checked and all okay.

If anyone has an idea on how to open the door to remove the door card it would be much appreciated as in the closed position it seems near impossible due to the door seal and dash obstructing me.
