Ive got the cable ordered and will sort out the software license when it arrives but my question is how easy is it to reset fault codes?

Ive had the "Excess Pollution" light come on with the car due to a faulty coil pack, found that out the old fashioned way but the light is still on.

My question is does the light go off immediatley the code is cleared or what?

I work in IT but am really quite nervous about messing with the car's "brain" lol

you only need to worry when you start playing with "recode" and "adaption" buttons, fault clearing is simple

Select the 'engine' option, then 'fault codes', and press 'clear'. Job done.
