Help - keys lost.

Guys
Quick question, the spare key that comes with the car - does it work the alarm system?
I am having to have someone bring it 140 iles to me - so I want to mke sure it works?

this is the key that doesnt have the blipper on?

if so, yes it does.. but you have a time frame in which you have to open the door and start the car.. otherwise the alarm goes off.

You have to open the door and start the engine within 10secs otherwise you trip the immobiliser and alarm.
