on average, the mk2 owner spends 2500 on modifying it and 2000 repairing it. ;)

tbh im chucking money at her, but its so worth it im not gonna sell her either just rack up the miles and enjoy the smiles :D

ive done 2000 miles in 4 months and i work 300ft from my house. all that mileage is either picking up spares or just driving for the fun of it :D always cheers me up if im feeling down.

fair enuff i have 50 miles a week on work miles 100 to my gf's and back then cruze the rest. id love to drive now but im not risking it :(

i drove my 1.4 to work with the track rod end not being attatched to the hub before, simply cos i didnt want to leave it at home :funk:

plus theres a police station at the end of my street and i have to cross a railway crossing to work so i really was risking it..

i think the best thing ive done with mine is when we had the big freeze i was lacking anti freeze she froze right up i towed her home and put a hot water bottle and a blanket under the hood to defrost the rad, i wanted to bring her inside and make a cup of hot chocolate too

i was driving allong and i herd a rattle i thought it was my exhast dragging so i got out and checked under the car everything was fine. carried on driving with the rattle and went into 4th gear and it is like neutral, i stopped still and put in 4th and lifted the clutch and nothing happend, all other gears work fine with the noise tho.

same hapend to me a couple weeks ago... new gearbox is what turned out i needed... :/

mot done today, failed on 3 tryes they have in for me now, and the lambda sensor emissions but every car they tested failed today so theyr having a new machine in tommrow. gearbox is getting sorted gonne be arround £500 fitted for a reconditioned one so my ibiza will live :D

3 bolts, one at each side and ones behind the brake light which just pops off. they may snap though.
