Help on changing car battery

Hi all,

I recently bought my Seat Ibiza 1.4 S model Y-reg.

My car battery is now totally flat due to the infamous radio problem where it switches on randomly. (I read about it on this site!).

I only owned a rover before and changing the car battery was straight forward.

The Seat Ibiza looks a lot more complicated. I just cant work out how to remove the "fuse" box which is clamped on top of the actual car battery! Do I need any special tools? I used my fingers but the clip wouldnt budge and I was afraid of breaking anything.

I have noticed theres a bolt right at the bottom of the case which holds the battery secure - its very annoying as my spanner cant reach that. I will need to buy a socket tomorrow :(

Thanks for any advice in advance. I have used the search function.

use a screw driver and take it off.
put the screw driver between the metal and the battery and push down towards the floor. the little clip should pop off.
