help pls!! what engine

hi,
i'm driving a facelift ibiza courtesy car at the moment, i know it's a TDI but i don't Know what the engine size it is. whats the easiest way to find out?

ibiza tdi's are all the 1.9 its probably the 100 pd

wow in that case i've just realised how bloody quick my PD130 is then. it's only a 5 speed gear box on the advertise-mobile though. i thought it might be a 1.4 but i suppose all the 1.4's are SDI's thats if they still even make 'em on the new facelift

Not true - the reference can be fitted with a 1.4 PD 80

That's more likely what you've got

In the boot should be the chassis number sticker ID thing, it'll say what kw the engine is on there.

Reading your other thread about the huge 68.7 mpg sticker on the courtesy car - the official quoted combined mpg for the reference TDI is 68.9 so that figures.....

yea or they have put the 3 cylinder tdi 1.4 in there didnt think they still did that as it dosent seem very popular!

even better than that mate just had a look and it says 1.4 TDI, i'm now actually more impressed at the power this thing seems to have for a baby diesel, it is very very noisy though only 800miles on the clock

That's the one - the 1.4 PD 80 is 3 cylinder. Only available on the reference now by the looks of it.

not the only sticker on the car unfortunatly, i've also have a bright red "NEW IBIZA" on either side and the dealers web address on the back.. cool eh
but embarising thing is i was taking the P**s out of the bloke who lives opposite me the other week for putting a huge great VECTRA vinyl with a bright red VAUXHALL emblem at the end of it on his old 2.0. now it looks like i'm copying him

if you can sneak a peak under the engine cover theres a bar code label on the timing belt cover that will list the engine code

i don't know it's hasn't got a trip computer so i can't check ha ha..
i doubt it though Is it SEAT or me who would get nicked for fasle advertising

It must be a reference then - the sport has a trip computer according to SEAT website.

Nice, id get another vinyl made up saying "But I rag it, so get 35mpg"

See if the garage keep it on
