Hi i am looking to fit my rear ARB to my pd150 but apart from buying the mikalor clamps to go over the poly bushes i am unsure.

Ideally i saw on the whiteline rear ARB that the kit used exhaust clamps and bracket to secure the bar to the rear beam.

Is the mikalor clamps over the poly bush the best way to go or can i put together something using exhaust clamps and universal brackets etc.

any help or guidance appreciated as ideally would like to have this bar on the best way possible and short of maybe welding a plate to the beam for strength and then drilling through the beam to then add bolts to secure it that way i am at a bit of a loss at the moment.

cheers

Having done this literally this week, I can tell you that the heavy duty Mikalor clamp works perfectly on my H&R roll bar. It's the perfect width for the supplied bushes and it's plenty strong enough.

When you consider that the front ARB is secured to the subframe with pretty flimsy clamps, the Mikalor ones are much stronger. If you've got ratchet straps, these will help hold the bar in place while you manhandle the bolt into the captive nut, bending the Mikalor so the the two ends meet.

I'd say the most most important connection point is the lower shock mounts, so you just need to make sure the bolts are long enough. Mine isn't adjustable so I can use the stock bolts, but if you've got the drop links, you'll need another couple of centimetres at least.

Oh, and don't tighten the Mikalor clamps until you've got the lower shock bolts back in. You'll need to do some fettling to get everything lined up.
