Hi,

I have Ibiza 1.2 tsi FR. On the air intake pipe that goes from front grill to the air box there is a small pipe with what looks like some type of valve that comes from underneath the intake pipe itself and goes somewhere..
Does anyone know where this pipe goes or if it should be connected as when checking my fluid levels the other day it wasnt and still isn't connected to anything and was just hanging down from the intake pipe.

Any help would be appreciated. Would upload pics as an idea but can't as this is first post.
Cheers

Hey reiss
Not too sure what it could be. But rarely is something in your car just for the fun of it. If I were u I would just starting posting in different threads and saying hello to build up permissions. Or even better if you go to website and contact them and say u have an urgent request and need some answers 8f they wouldn't mind lifting your permissions. As photographs are ur best bet

Hi, what age is that car so that I can work out if it is the latest versions of that engine or the early, or another way to let me know which version it is:- is the turbo charger mounted at the front of the engine or at the back of the engine? My wife has a 2015 Polo 1.2TSI 110PS and if you have that engine I can take a look at her car and report back!

I know what it's like when ur trying to get something solved and the forum is holding you back. I've had an idea and.promise I'm not a weirdo, I just remember I was.like this when I first was.on vaxuahll forum. But if you have email. I van give mine in a message and then u can send them too me and I'll post them back on here for you if you u derstand?

I can see the pictures, but can't offer any help, sorry! The open end looks a bit oily, so is it oily because it has been plugged into something, or is it oily because it vents slightly?

Maybe have a look on this parts catalogue:- http://www.oemepc.com/

Hey guys here are the pictures of the disconnected hose. If anyone could shed some light on where this hose should be connected would be big help

Thanks for getting those pics up for me  hopefully someone will know what it is..

Had a look at that catalogue and can't find it on there either. What's weird is the air intake diagram doesn't show the pipe and valve thing in question..

Just another thought, if anyone else has the earlier engine could you possibly take a pic of the same sort of area to see where yours goes.

You certainly have lived up to your name top banana!!
Well spotted I certainly looks like the correct parts. Now just got to work out where it belongs. Thanks

Have you had this car new? Cz if so you could just take back to dealer and they will re connect it. But if not you could simply pop to a dealer and just ask if a technician could come and see where this hose has come off. They should charge you for such a nothing job

No I bought this car used..
I will pop to my local dealer If I can't find where it goes.

Top banana found a diagram that shows what it is. so once I'm home I will be having a look.

Once I got a part number off the diagram I put it in Google and it gave me an idea so fingers crossed I get it sorted

These on-line parts catalogues can take a bit of "training" to get the best out of them, add to that that some stuff is not complete, what is there is good and can be trusted, but I've found quite a few sections of a topic missing, which obviously means that I could not find what I wanted to, they do encourage giving feedback on these types of issues, but so far I've just put it down to my lack of knowledge - until I could not find the rear cabin trim section for my Audi S4 - after chatting with my Audi parts place I finally found the equivalent area listed in the A5/S5 areas - so it is missing from the A4/S4 listings!

Yeah have a look around but use process if elimation. I would measure it and then slight pull it to see how much it stretches WITHOUT causing damage. And then once measure I would measure from where it's fitted and give your self a rough radius for how far to look. Because it's not going to reach as fast as the driver side headlight if you understand what I mean
