May have a similar issue......

Only symptom is when I reverse after driving or being parked, when I touch the brakes I get a very slight thud/click sound, just once, and feel a bump through the brake pedal.

I've read in various places that it could be anything from a ridge on a pad, a loose caliper, and loose pad, or loose subframe bolts.

Anything like that familiar in this context??

what you are describing is totally normal.
its the brake pad resitting itself , mine does it all the time.
they are also a bugger for sticking a little if you wash your car then leave it overnight then pull away in the morning you get a slight thud as well as the pad frees it self up.

One way I've found to avoid this is to, while parked, leave the handbrake off after washing it until it's been driven for 4 or 5 miles.
