Anybody know how to fit a superchip to the ecu??

Yep, it is a direct chip replacement on the pre-facelift 8v. When I had mine done by AmD, they gave me my old chip in a box.

thinking on doing mine, am i rite to assume u get the power when needed but in day to day rollin around you can achieve higher mpg?

do you get any warrenty with a chip?
how much it set you back £££ ?
the gearbox aint going to blow up, or head gaskets ect?

i need abit more poke to keep with my mates vtec lol

I bought mine second hand off ebay the guy had it on his cordoba then sold it when he was getting rid off the car! The price from superchip as far as i know is about 250? but they put it on and set it up! (www.superchips.co.uk)
did notice improvment in throttle responce, didnt notice higher mpg but then again mines has dcat, cam, ajustable fuel reg, so aint good on mpg anyhow

i see, so its an actually interchangeable chip, i assumed they simply programmed your exsisting ECU

partly yes cause the chip came off another 2.0 8v, but not sure that the vw ones fit as they have bosch ecus!
