used to get that on set up to.

was doing the test and was saying com port ok.

but the converter was actually using com5. had to go into task manager and so on and change the com port to com3

may not be the same tho,just a thought:shrug:

in XP
right click on my computer
left click properties
Hardware Tab
Device Manager
Ports
Select the port
Right Click on it then properties and on one of the pages is a button marked advanced click on that and you can change the port muber for that port.

Hope that helps and is what you were after.

Wooo-feckin-hooooooooooo, its working, it turned out to be an operator error, called dumbfool syndrom!
