hey, well im new here and new to seats but not the vag range!

im loving my new leon cupra auq, its a 52 plate with a forge dv and stage 1 revo, had it on my mates dyno dynamics rollers and it only made 189.9hp flywheel.!!!

we sent some data files over to revo and they said its nothin electrical, so its transmission somwhere and i know clutches are common after remap. we compared mine to another leon cupra which had the same mods, it made 217.3 bhp and 250ft/lb torque our cars maintained the same boost figures and AFR figs so turbo, timing and mixture is fine!

so my question is, what is the cheapest way to replace the clutch for an uprated one bearing in mind i dont forsee any big mods to come soo will never be over 250 bhp and 300 ft/lb torque?? i know they are a pain being dual mass and that!

any help would be brill i know lots of you guys have already been here!

cheers
Neil

simple answer is replace it with a uprated sachs clutch, looking in the region of £700-£800 fitted i would suspect

so there is no way to do it cheaply bein dual mass right?

my sachs racing uprated clutch with leighten flywheel was £860

You can get a genuine VW clutch for much less than that. The clutch design is the same for both models as they use the same gearbox. A new clutch will be more than up to the job. Mine is standard and has been coping wiht 230bhp and 270 ft/lbs for over a year now, and a standard generic map for a year before that.

Clutch

Standard clutch will be fine ive done 80 000 in my leon 40 of which has been on a remap(200bhp approx) and still going strong .ps nice gearchanging and lack of racing starts is the key...;)
