i get the same and have tolerated it for ages. 3k and its almost as if the power has stopped rising rather than its lost it.
almost as if the power determined by your foot has been reached and now theres no more. at least it feels like that.

it seems turbo related as its always around the same rev mark, when you expect the turbo to kick in. recently changed maf and dv from forge to bailey.
tb cleaned , new air filter. still does it. n75 worked fine during logging and mapping.

until i get other ideas.. im calling it a quirk:)

remember.. only happens under slow acceleration;)

Exactly the same symptoms as I had. Slow acceleration was really hesitant, however, I thought it was turbo related too to be honest. The boost when I'd floor it never seemed the same twice. I only realised that once it was sorted cos it pulls really well now.

So wierd that the new MAF hasn't cured your "Quirk!!"

I bet mine will start up again this week!!!!!!!! I will keep you posted!!

thats the wierd bit. all those changes and a shiney new turbo and it still happens yet still seems turbo related:confused:

glad yours is sorted. fingers crossed its stays sorted;)

i`ll keep quirking on it:doh:

anyone know of a tutorial anywhere on cleaning the MAF?
Dont really want to buy a new one, especially if it wont fix the problem
I want to try and clean it and go from there

Cheers
Mark

The bloke at the garage I take mine to said that the tolerance of the MAF is so tight between good air flow and not enough/too much that even a new one could still throw up a problem, and cause the symptoms we are having. Have you had a diagnostic check? Even though the light hasn't come on, its still might have logged a prob.

Woth a try to see if Mass Air Flow is the issue...

I've run vag com and all the air flow seems ok too....i cant get the car to do it when im logging though it's sods law!

Bloody Maf's we all need stand alone haha!

same 2k problem here! its as if the power stops and almost like the brakes come 'on', not like lifting your foot off the gas more like tapping the brake!! sometimes if i put my foot down hard the car doesnt react but putting my foot down again sorts it??!! the whole car is standard so maybe MAf or DV. cars only done 56k
