yeah i was puzzled as well, simple answer is unless you eithe put weight in your car or get lowering springs or replace the suspension this is the case

maybe you just bought stiffer springs as opposed to lowering, or only slightly lower springs.

ibiza u back wheel arch do u have much clearence an does ur wheel bearns go or that

on 7x17'' with 205/40/17 Tyres they dont rub... front does a little on full lock tho.

thats lowered about 40mm

theres about 10mm between the tyre and the arch, and that gets less when the suspension moves and the wheel tucks into the arch. doesnt rub tho

When you only use lowering springs, you are supposed to chop the original bump stops.
Or ideally buy new bump stops such as powerflex

When i lowered my old mk2 1.4, spax shocks cut springs and cut bump stops - THEN and only then was i satisfied with how low it went.
It was so low that, the front wheels were 7x17" and rubbed NOT on the arch liner but rubbed on the chassis when going straight with a passenger.
