Hi all, recently rejoined the forum after many years away. I’m looking to relive my youth and wish to buy a mk1 Leon Cupra r 225. This is the one I used to own many years ago.

Anyone got one for sale?

Nice cars. MOT for the above car expired 3 years ago. Wonder if it’s in the process of being restored, or was stripped for parts.

I actually owned this car twice. I brought it back from the guy I sold it to. However, I didn’t keep it long as it had been poorly maintained. Shame really. I’m looking for a solid relatively unmodified car that’s been well cared for.

Ha I've actually just done this also, had a 2004 yellow one about 10 years ago and just ended up with another yellow 2004 ! Although this one is wildly modded compared to my old one

Welcome back.
It’s amazing how many people are getting drawn back to the delights of the mk1 Cupra R.
I did the same, 7 years ago bought a platinum grey one then added a yellow one 18 months ago.
Both are standard with full history, grey one has just gone over 100k and flew through mot in January and yellow one has 75k.
They are such fantastic car’s and still look fantastic saying some are over 20 years old.

even though it was full of water and had very questionable brakes i really enjoyed the 3 hour drive home with it , quickly remembered how nice they are to drive
