Hi all, I've got a mapped ( stage 2 ) PD 170 and I've been looking @ making my own custom air filter...I've been looking @ this one over on the Skoda forum, now I realise that mines a different engine and that the lay out is slightly different but has anybody done something like this?

The cost saving is quite a lot the air filter in the picture is off a Honda S2000 and cost £22 pounds!!! so with all the piping and clips your @ maybe £50.00 tops...A neu-speed one is £204.00 gulp..

I'm mainly after a little more noise from the engine and under load this setup is meant to ok sounding...

Any thoughts???????????????????

Holly crap were you just sort of nice then?

Is it worth looking into the Exhaust for noisy things lol

Mine came with the optional Remas exhaust which is in mint condition so im loathed to spend money changing my full exhaust system, I had looked @ modifying my current Remas but I don't think it would sound good....

Im just after changing the air induction as I believe its a relatively cheap upgrade over the standard quite sounding airbox:lol:

I had the Remus on my before I changed. I just deleted the back box and replaced it with 2.5" pipes into 4" tips! So basically removed the rear silencer!
Not sure how I would upload a video onto here though??

If you can upload it to Photobucket then I believe you'd use the IMG code at the bottom of the 4 options Photobucket gives you it should link directly to it :)
