How good are these engines in terms of long term reliability with high miles?

I'm looking to get a cheaper car and the mk2 Leon tdi is what I have decided to get. Seen a few just over the 100k mark and needed to know it will last

100k for a TDI is nothing mate

aslong as its been cared for, Sericed at right intervals, had its belts changed, water pumps etc it will be fine

Sounds good then it doesnt have to be a SEAT Service history, mines had 3 services done by AwesomeGTI who are a VAG Specialist using genuine parts

my previous leon was a 57plate it had covered 104k and was still running like new to be honest.
These engines can just keep going and going if services are done when they should be.

My 06 pd170 is on 104k at the moment, cam belt changed at 80k, dealer service every 10k miles. Engine wise its fine apart from an intermittent fault but that's been happening for the last 60k miles. Will need some work done before next MOT such as brakes, but I can't really complain, its on the same pads that it came out of the factory with!

If it is the FR PD engine whilst 100K + is fine the dreaded injector issue can raise it's head and cost ££££. Worth finding out if possible if these have been changed only weak point really in a strong engine other than the DPF. Lower powered 138 lump seems to have far less issues than the 169 lump
