High pitch noise on cold start

Everytime i start the car up from cold i hear a high pitch buzzing noise. Is it something to do with power steering as it goes after about a minute? It sounds like its coming from drivers side.

didn't think the lcr had a secondary air pump???
i,m no expert but i think i read that on here.

It's either that or the auxillary belt. They get a bit of condensation overnight and it can screech until it dries itself off.

got the same noise on my lc it was indeed secondary air pump i get engine light come on every so often because of it pointless peice of plastic

Wondering if anyone could tell me where the secondary air pump is on my cupra r? I have the high pitch noise on start up and was wondering how difficult it would be to fix it?

Ahh, sorry, didn't realise you had a Cupra R..... they don't have a secondary air pump.

i have a blowing sound when start up from cold,but as soon as choke goes off it stops

Perhaps the auxilliary belt tensioner bearing, or alternator clutch......?
