Apparently I have Hill Hold Control on my car, yet I don't know what it is (apart from the obvious) or how to use it.

Has anyone got any idea and is it actually of any use whatsoever?! And how do you activate it?

Thanks to anyone who can answer

If it's the same as a subaru, when you're facing uphill, you just hold your foot on the clutch, touch the brake pedal then the car stays stationary until you release the clutch.

I'll try that tonight.....emphasis on the tonight as last thing I wanna do is roll back into some poor sod cus am testing somet out :)

Im not sure myself, but have you had a look in the owners manual?

Yeh, but I have to admit theres hardly anything about it. Probably one of the least documented features in the whole manual!

According to the the Brochure the "Hill Hold Control holda the brake in position while you prepare to acelerate on a slop".
I think it holds the brake for a couple of seconds.

If I was parked on a slop i'd want to get off it as quick as possible.

But seriously, I wasn't even aware hill hold was an option on the Leon. How do you know if you have it, other than seeing if you roll back down the hill?

My manual says I have it, well any Leon with ESP and I know for a fact it doesn't so I asked my local dealer, and he said it's what was printed and was an option for European cars with ESP :)
