Hey all got in car tnite and the horn has stopped working??? when i press the steering wheel it just gives a funny clicking noise?? checked fuses and all seem ok not noticed any other problems, can any one help me???

thanks steve

That happened to mine a while back, the audio menu on my MFD also disappeared at the same time?

I had the horn unit replaced under warranty

Horn is located front left side, I can see it looking through the grill, very exposed IMHO

ive got the car re-mapped and wouldn't want the dealer to mess with the ecu, would they do this if i had it replaced under warrenty??

thanks steve

if i hold down the horn for a while i get a tiny blip of it but its very minimal, will have a look an check wires and also behind grill. just dont want the dreaded dealers messing with my cars ecu, lol.

I think all leons have 2 horns, 1 high and 1 low. They're behind the fog lights - easy to get to and inspect/replace.

For the price (£20) you could start with replacing them, lets face it the standard ones arn't very good anyway...

I seem to remember people have had problems with the electrics on the steering wheel, does it work better/worse as it's turned? Do your audio controls light up and work 100%?

Checked all controls n that everything seems to work n not the horn... booked in at the dreaded stealers tomorrow so we shall see what they say. Just worried they mite mess with ecu doing daft upgrades of some sort.

Hey all had the horn replaced friday as it was faulty..... the dealer also gave me a printed letter to sign regarding engine re-map, there computer picked it up straight away apparently, but to be fair they was ok about it.
